Housing Advocacy

There are people in your community who are living in emergency housing or shelters, others are living on the street, in unsafe situations and must find safe housing alternatives.

I’m Here Foundation housing and advocacy support programs works with tenants, landlords, property managers, and real estate agents who may have available housing opportunities. I’m Here Foundation is not asking these agencies to provide a break on rent, just extra consideration for tenants who may not pass a credit check, not have references or don’t have an ID at the ready as a result of fleeing an unsafe situation.

We are asking our community and agencies to work together to help residents living in emergency housing or shelters, on the street, and those in unsafe situations.

I’m Here Foundation Mental health housing support workers will support residents living with mental health and/or addiction challenges in a community based independent living environment. To help maintain and promote the wellbeing and independence of each resident. This may include but is not limited to providing: daily tenant support, crisis support, housing advocacy, care/planning, property management services, referrals, life skills coaching, group facilitation and day-to-day tenancy management and documentation.
