Women & Families Support Services

The Women and Families Support Service provide compassionate support and services to all women regardless of race, gender, and religion within our community. The well-being of women and families within our community is our priority. We provide customize and specific support services based on the need of individual client. The Women and Families Support Service provide programs that are geared the needs and request from our communities, which includes:

  • Community awareness and education.
  • Health, nutrition and parenting programs.
  • Cultural education awareness and community development.
  • Self-empowerment, conflict resolution, and counseling services.
  • Employment, income security, and financial education.
  • Group sessions, referrals to community resources, and food donation.

Hope Support Program

IHF Hope Support Program provides “Peer Support Services” to residents and survivors within our communities. The purpose of the program is to reduce judgemental and barriers residents and survivors encounter when accessing services and programs within our communities. Is important for residents and survivors to know, they are not alone in their struggles or any other barriers they encounter. The peer support services also help to reduce isolation and build community with others who have experienced similar challenges. Residents can talk openly and share with peer support worker about similar experiences, gender-based violence, and survives experiences. The program will help each other, including survivors to share trauma experiences, and other issues

Crisis Support Services Program.

Provides immediate support to survivors in the community experiencing any form of violence and abuse. IHF provides client-centered program, clients identify their needs and the types of supports needed. Support includes immediate crisis support and intervention, risk assessment and safety planning, emotional support, and referrals to other services.

Community Support & Outreach Program

Provides compassionate confidential and non-judgmental supports to women, families, seniors, homeless residents, newcomers and survivors of violence and abuse living in the community. IHF also provide support addressing family issues or challenges they may be experiencing, such as housing support, legal support, immigration support, and shelter support. Support can be provided in-person or remotely, by telephone, email, video or other platforms.
